- Scope
- This standard specifies the rated frequency, rated voltage and rated current of electrical products used in ships and offshore installations. This standard applies to electrical products used in ships and mobile and fixed offshore installations. Its electrical products include power, lighting, electric heating and cooking equipment that are reliably fixed and permanently connected; external general power supply devices for automatic control systems and communication and navigation equipment; electrical instruments; mobile electric tools and mobile lighting devices that work under safe voltages and equipment etc. This standard does not apply to the following situations: a) The dedicated power supply inside the equipment and the devices and components connected to these power supplies; b) The thermal element of the thermal relay and the fuse of the fuse (for rated current parameters); c) The generator’s Excitation equipment; d) special equipment and cables, etc.
