Scope: This standard specifies the determination of the molecular weight of polyacrylamide by viscosity method. This standard applies to the determination of the molecular weight of powdery or colloidal nonionic polyacrylamide and the determination of the apparent molecular weight of powdery or colloidal anionic polyacrylamide. This standard does not apply to the determination of the molecular weight of polyacrylamide containing additives. For such samples, this standard may be used after removal of additives.
