Scope

This standard specifies the method for measuring the coercive force of magnetic materials in an open magnetic circuit. This standard applies to magnetic materials with a coercivity below 500kA/m. For the measurement of materials with coercivity lower than 40A/m and higher than 160kA/m, see Appendix A.
