This standard specifies the technical requirements and test methods for flame arresters for petroleum gas pipelines (hereinafter referred to as flame arresters). The flame arrester specified in this standard is suitable for preventing the backfire flame at the pipe end from propagating through the flame arrester to the incoming gas direction of the pipeline. According to the propagation velocity range of preventing tempering flame, it can be divided into: a. Deflagration-resistant flame arrester; b. Detonation-resistant flame arrester.
