- This standard specifies the ultrasonic inspection method for steel forgings, comparative test blocks, inspection instruments and equipment, inspection conditions and sensitivity adjustment, defect assessment, quality grade, inspection report, etc. This standard is applicable to the ultrasonic inspection of general forgings of carbon steel and low alloy steel with a thickness or diameter greater than 100mm by the pulse reflection ultrasonic inspection method.
