- This standard specifies the method for the determination of bound styrene content in various types of styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR), including oil-extended types. This standard is applicable to the determination of bound styrene content in emulsion-polymerized, solution-polymerized styrene-butadiene rubber, high-styrene-styrene-butadiene rubber, styrene block copolymers and their vulcanizates. This standard also applies to blended vulcanizates of styrene-butadiene rubber and other rubbers (NR, BR and IR).
