- This standard specifies the general requirements for samples and reference substances, test procedures and safety matters used in the thermal analysis method for evaluating the thermal stability of substances by differential thermal analyzer and (or) differential scanning calorimeter. This standard is applicable to the evaluation of the thermal stability of solid, liquid and slurry substances with enthalpy change in the temperature range of -50 to 1000°C in an inert or reactive atmosphere.
