This standard specifies the ultrasonic inspection method for detecting defects that damage the continuity of titanium and titanium alloy pipes based on the reflection signals of artificial standard defects. This standard applies to the ultrasonic inspection of seamless or welded titanium and titanium alloy pipes for condensers and heat exchangers with an outer diameter of 10-60 mm, a wall thickness of 0.5-4.5 mm, and a ratio of wall thickness to outer diameter of not more than 0.2. Titanium and titanium alloy pipes for other purposes can also be implemented by reference.
