Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, acceptance rules and packaging of overhead insulated cables with AC rated voltage 1kV and below. This standard applies to copper core, aluminum core or aluminum alloy core weather-resistant polyvinyl chloride (PVC for short), polyethylene (PE for short) and cross-linked polyethylene for overhead power lines with AC rated voltage U0/U of 0.6/1kV and below. (referred to as XLPE) insulated overhead cables.
