Scope
This standard specifies the most basic requirements for materials, design, manufacturing process, test methods, inspection rules and signs, packaging, transportation and storage of stainless steel welded gas cylinders (hereinafter referred to as cylinders). This standard is applicable to refillable steel cylinders with a water pressure test pressure of not more than 6.0 MPa (gauge pressure) and a nominal volume of 0.5 L to 1 000 L used at an ambient temperature of -40 °C to 60 °C, which are compatible with the steel cylinder material. Cylinders for compressed gases, low pressure liquefied gases and dissolved gases.
