Scope
This standard specifies the analytical method for the determination of trace amounts of tin, antimony, cerium, lead and bismuth in iron and steel by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS). This standard applies to the determination of trace elements in the following mass fraction (μg/g) range: tin 5 μg/g~200 μg/g, antimony 1 μg/g~200 μg/g, cerium 10 μg/g~1 000 μg/g, lead 0.5 μg/g~100 μg/g, bismuth 0.3 μg/g~30 μg/g. Inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry for the determination of trace element interferences is listed in Appendix B.
