Scope
General This standard specifies the method for the measurement of sound pressure levels on surfaces surrounding noise sources (machines or equipment) in anechoic and semi-anechoic rooms. Using these measurement methods it is possible to calculate the 1/3 octave band or A-weighted sound power level (and the sound energy level in the case of impulsive or transient noise radiation) of the sound source, taking into account the meteorological conditions at the time and location of the measurement and the corresponding Correction for differences between reference meteorological conditions relative to reference characteristic acoustic impedance. In general, the measurement frequency range is a 1/3 octave band with a center frequency of 100 Hz to 10 000 Hz. The frequency range can be extended or reduced as required, and the test room should be compliant with these frequencies. Types of noise and noise sources The methods specified in this standard are applicable to all types of noise defined in GB/T 19052 (steady state, non-steady state, fluctuations, bursts, etc.). The noise source under test can be a device, machine, component or accessory. The maximum size of the sound source depends on the radius of the imaginary sphere or hemisphere of the measurement envelope. Test room The test room is an anechoic room or a semi-anechoic room that meets the requirements of this standard, also known as a free-field test room and a semi-free-field test room. Measurement uncertainty This standard gives the uncertainty of the sound power level and sound energy level when measured with the specified frequency band and A-weighting. Uncertainty meets the level 1 accuracy requirements of GB/T 19052-2003.
