Scope
This part of GB/T 19355 provides design guidelines and suggestions for anti-corrosion zinc coatings and corrosion resistance grades used for structural parts exposed to different environments. The initial protection involves the feasible standard process; ---design requirements; ---use environment. This section applies to the zinc coating obtained by the following processes, a) hot-dip galvanized layer (hot-dip galvanized parts); b) hot-dip galvanized layer (continuously hot-dip galvanized steel sheet); d) thermally sprayed coatings; e) "mechanical coatings; correction" electrogalvanized coatings. These guidelines and recommendations do not deal with corrosion protection maintenance of galvanized steel in service. Guidance on this subject can be found in ISO 12944-5 and ISO 12944-5. 8. Note: Various product-related standards (such as nails, fasteners, ductile iron pipes, etc.) have specific requirements for galvanized coating systems, and these requirements will exceed the generality proposed in this part of this standard. Guidelines. These product-specific requirements shall take precedence over the general guidelines.
