Scope: This standard specifies the requirements for functional safety acceptance personnel of oil and gas pipeline safety instrumented systems, the stages of performing functional safety acceptance activities, the management and responsibilities of acceptance activities, the basis, content and related requirements of acceptance activities at each stage. This standard applies to the inspection and acceptance of safety instrumented systems in newly built and expanded onshore oil and gas long-distance pipeline transportation systems.
