This International Standard specifies safety and performance requirements and test methods relating to the design, assembly and testing of fully assembled children's bicycles and their assemblies. A guideline is also provided for instructions on how to use and care for the bicycles. This International Standard applies to bicycles whose maximum saddle height is more than 435 mm and less than 635 mm and which are propelled by power transmission to the rear wheel. This standard does not apply to special bicycles intended for trick riding (e.g. BMX bicycles).
