- Scope
- This standard specifies the safety requirements for the production, operation, maintenance, emergency response, accident management and disposal of steel crude oil storage tanks (hereinafter referred to as storage tanks). This standard applies to steel crude oil storage tanks used in onshore, beach, and shore oil and gas gathering and pipeline transportation. This standard does not apply to steel crude oil storage tanks on sea (water) and steel crude oil storage tanks on cars and trains.
