Scope: This standard specifies the terms and definitions, naming, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs, packaging, transportation and storage of single-stage electromagnetic piston air pumps for aquariums and similar purposes. This standard applies to single-stage electromagnetic piston air pumps (hereinafter referred to as air pumps) with a rated voltage not exceeding 250 V. This type of air pump is mainly used in aquariums and aquaculture farms to increase the oxygen content in the water by pumping air into the water; it can also be used in other similar places that need to provide air pressure and air volume. This standard does not apply to pumps delivering gases other than air.
