The guideline contains essential information for the planning, construction and operation of thermal exhaust gas purification systems. This includes systems with an almost adiabatic reaction zone (e.g. ceramic-lined combustion chambers) and a non-adiabatic reaction zone (e.g. flares, steam boilers). The guideline supports users in designing a system for thermal exhaust gas purification and provides information on the use of waste heat, the need for energy and auxiliary materials and on reducing emissions. Furthermore, aspects of technical warranty and decision criteria are listed. The operating conditions, system examples and d. listed in this guideline
