Scope: This part of GB/T 14837 specifies the determination of the total organic content, carbon black content, carbonaceous residue content and Method of component content such as ash. Among them, the mass loss at about 300 °C is an approximate value of the volatile substance content in the rubber compound. This part is applicable to the determination of hydrocarbon polymer rubber compounds and vulcanizates covered by GB/T 14837.1, as well as the following rubbers with polar groups that form carbonaceous residues after pyrolysis: a) Acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber (NBRs); b) carboxylated acrylonitrile-butadiene rubbers (XNBRs); c) hydrogenated acrylonitrile-butadiene rubbers (HNBRs); d) chlorinated isobutylene-isoprene rubbers (CIIRs); e) bromine isobutylene-isoprene rubbers (BIIRs).
