- This standard specifies the conditions for preparing medium- and high-viscosity emulsions with surfactants, and proposes methods for determining the type and performance of emulsions and evaluating the emulsifying ability of surfactants. This standard applies to emulsions formed by surfactants, water-insoluble liquids or solids, and water. The emulsion should maintain its rheology over the temperature range over which the properties are measured.
