- This standard specifies the classification, level, marking, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, labeling and instructions, packaging and storage, scope of application and other requirements for self-priming filter dust masks for coal mines (hereinafter referred to as dust masks). This standard is applicable to dust masks used in the coal mining industry to protect against respirable coal dust and silica dust. This standard does not apply to respiratory protective equipment used in hypoxic environments and poisonous gas environments.
