Scope

This standard specifies the classification and marking, technical requirements, test methods of masks, filter parts, inspection rules and labels of self-priming filter gas masks. This standard applies to gas masks based on the self-priming filter principle. This standard does not apply to respiratory protective equipment used in hypoxic environments, underwater operations, escape and fire-fighting hot spots.
