Scope
This standard specifies the method for the determination of silicon, manganese, phosphorus, nickel, copper, molybdenum, titanium, aluminum, vanadium and cobalt by inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry. This method is suitable for the determination of silicon, manganese, phosphorus, nickel, copper, molybdenum, titanium, aluminum, vanadium and cobalt in stainless steel. The content range of the multi-element determination is shown in Table 1. The silicon, titanium and aluminum measured by this method are acid-soluble silicon, acid-soluble titanium and acid-soluble aluminum. When the mass fraction of carbon in the steel is greater than 0.8% and the mass fraction of chromium is greater than 28%, this standard does not apply.
