Scope: This standard specifies the terms and definitions, product classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation and storage requirements of polyester staple fiber for sewing thread. This standard applies to polyester short fibers for natural sewing threads with linear density of 1.20 dtex to 1.40 dtex, glossy and semi-dull, and circular cross-sections. Other types of polyester staple fibers for sewing thread can be used as a reference.
