- This standard specifies the product classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation and storage requirements for polyester staple fibers used in sewing threads. This standard is applicable to super-glossy, glossy and semi-matt polyester short fibers for sewing threads with circular cross-sections in the range of fiber linear density from 1.22dtex to 1.50dtex. Other types of polyester staple fibers for sewing thread can be used as a reference.
