Scope
This standard specifies the test method and evaluation of the test results for the durability assessment of rubber torsional vibration absorbers for reciprocating internal combustion engines on the engine bench. This standard applies to rubber torsional vibration absorbers (hereinafter referred to as shock absorbers) for reciprocating internal combustion engines (hereinafter referred to as internal combustion engines) used in road vehicles, ships, agricultural tractors and forestry machinery, engineering machinery, generator sets, and irrigation and drainage machinery. Rubber shock absorbers for reciprocating internal combustion engines for other purposes can also be used as a reference.
