Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation and storage of outboard gasoline engines. This standard applies to outboard gasoline engines with a power of not more than 200 kW (hereinafter referred to as gasoline engines). Internal combustion engines for outboard motors that use other fuels may refer to this standard.
