- This standard specifies the classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of automatic marine sprinkler devices (hereinafter referred to as sprinkler devices). This standard applies to the design, manufacture and acceptance of automatic sprinkler fire extinguishing devices for ships and offshore facilities.
