- This standard specifies the tasks, work procedures and detailed requirements for reliability design at each stage of the development process of instruments and meters (hereinafter referred to as products). This standard is applicable to the development process of new instrument products, and can also be used as a reference in the improved design process of finalized products. This standard does not apply to software reliability design procedures and requirements.
