Scope: This standard specifies the terms and definitions, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging and storage of vacuum regulators for diesel exhaust gas recirculation. This standard applies to vacuum regulators (hereinafter referred to as vacuum regulators) for diesel exhaust gas recirculation in automobiles, tractors, construction machinery, generator sets and inland water vessels. Vacuum regulators for diesel engine exhaust gas recirculation for other purposes can also be used as a reference.
