Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements, accuracy and inspection levels, acceptance rules and inspection methods for steel die forgings of rock drilling machinery and pneumatic tools. This standard applies to hot die forgings (hereinafter referred to as forgings) of carbon steel and alloy steel forged by forging hammers and presses used in rock drilling machinery and pneumatic tools.
