- This part of SY/T 6423 specifies the requirements for detecting defects in straight and spiral welds of automatic submerged arc welded steel pipes using X-ray (film) photography. This section is applicable to the detection of straight and spiral welds of automatic submerged arc welded steel pipes. This section also applies to the inspection of circular hollow parts.
