Scope
This standard specifies the test method for the determination of hydrocarbon group composition and benzene content in light petroleum distillates and products by multidimensional gas chromatography. This standard is applicable to the determination of hydrocarbon group composition and benzene content in light petroleum fractions or products with final boiling point not higher than 215°C, such as gasoline blending components, solvent oil, gasoline products, etc. The determination concentration ranges are 0.5%-70% olefin volume fraction (or mass fraction), 1%-80% aromatic hydrocarbon volume fraction (or mass fraction), and 0.2%-10% benzene volume fraction (or mass fraction). This method is also applicable to gasoline products whose distillation range meets the requirements of this standard, processed from other unconventional crude oils such as shale or oil sands, or hydrocarbon fuels synthesized from non-petroleum mineral fuels such as Fischer-Tropsch synthetic oil. Samples beyond the content range can also be determined by this method, but the precision data is not given. For motor gasoline, in order to improve the performance of gasoline products or other purposes, it often contains ether or alcohol oxygenate components, and there may also be multiple oxygenate components coexisting. At this time, the ether compounds in the sample will be mixed with olefins The components elute together, and the alcohols elute together with the C7 + aromatic components. For gasoline samples containing oxygenated compounds, use relevant test methods (such as SH/T 0663) to determine the type and content of oxygenated compounds in it, and refer to the steps in Appendix A to make necessary corrections to the hydrocarbon group composition results, and then apply to this standard . This standard is not applicable to the determination of monomer component content in each hydrocarbon group except benzene.
