Scope

This standard specifies the determination method of pulp potassium permanganate value. This method is applicable to the determination of chemical pulp with a lignin content below 6%. This method is applicable to the determination of chemical pulp whose potassium permanganate value is lower than 20, see Note for higher than 20. If the pulp potassium permanganate value is greater than 35, the Kappa value method should be used for determination.
