Scope

This standard specifies the determination method of potassium permanganate value of pulp. This method is applicable to the determination of chemical pulp with lignin content below 6 0/4. This method is applicable to the determination of chemical pulp whose potassium permanganate value is lower than 35. If the pulp potassium permanganate value is greater than 35, the Kappa value method should be used for determination.
