Scope

This part specifies the electrostatic discharge test requirements and methods for civil aircraft airborne equipment. This section applies to all equipment and surfaces that are easily accessible during normal operation and maintenance in the aircraft and is used to determine whether the equipment will suffer permanent performance degradation due to electrostatic discharge when performing its intended function.
