Scope
This part specifies the requirements and methods for radio frequency conduction and radiation sensitivity testing of airborne equipment on civil aircraft. This section applies to civil aircraft airborne equipment and is used to determine whether the equipment and its interconnecting cables can operate properly and meet their performance specifications when affected by radiation from radio frequency modulated power or coupling from injected probes.
