This part specifies two types of steady-state acceleration tests and four acceleration severity levels to simulate the slowly changing acceleration environment that may be encountered in the use of onboard equipment on civil aircraft. This section applies to the acceleration environment induced by maneuvering overload during normal flight of civil aircraft airborne equipment. Emergency landing situations are not included in the scope of this section. In this case, reference should be made to HB 6167.5-2014.
