HB 6167.7-2014 Environmental conditions and test procedures for airborne equipment of civil airplane.Part 7: Explosive atmosphere test (English Version)
This part specifies test requirements and test procedures for airborne equipment that may come into contact with specified flammable fluids and vapors. It also gives the normal and failure conditions that may occur in areas where the aircraft is or may be exposed to flammable liquids and vapors during flight operations. This section applies to equipment on aircraft that may come into contact with flammable liquids, vapors or gases and that may generate arcs, sparks or hot surfaces under normal operating or failure conditions. The flammable liquids, vapors or gases covered in this section simulate those commonly used in conventional aircraft and require oxygen to burn (e.g. excluding unit fuels). This section does not apply to potentially hazardous environments caused by leaks of items carried on the aircraft (such as luggage or cargo, etc.).
