Scope
This standard specifies a high-performance liquid chromatography method for the determination of aldehydes and ketones in ambient air. This standard is applicable to the determination of 13 aldehyde and ketone compounds in ambient air, including: formaldehyde, acetaldehyde, acrolein, acetone, propionaldehyde, crotonaldehyde, methacrolein, 2-butanone, n-butyraldehyde, benzene Formaldehyde, valeraldehyde, m-tolualdehyde and hexanal. Other aldehydes and ketones can also be analyzed using this standard upon verification of applicability. When the sampling volume is 0.05 m, the detection limit of this method is 0.28~1.69 μg/m, and the lower limit of determination is 1.12~6.76 μg/m. See Appendix A for details.
