This part of GB 9816 stipulates the classification, marking, mechanical requirements, electrical requirements, temperature test, and technical requirements for rust prevention of thermal links. This section applies to thermal links installed in electrical appliances, electronic equipment and similar components used in general indoor environments to prevent them from overheating in the event of a fault. If the climate and other conditions of the environment in which the thermal-link is located are similar to those specified in this section, this section can also be used for thermal-links used in non-indoor conditions. This section also applies to simple-shaped thermal links (such as fuses or fuses), as long as the molten material discharged during operation does not affect the safe use of the equipment, especially for hand-held or portable equipment, regardless of its location. It will not affect their safe use. This standard applies to thermal-links with a rated voltage not exceeding 690 V AC and DC and a rated current not exceeding 63 A. The purpose of this section is: a) to develop requirements for thermal links; b) to define the method of testing; c) to provide useful information for the application of thermal links in equipment. This standard does not apply to thermal links used in extreme conditions such as corrosive or explosive atmospheres. This standard does not apply to thermal links used on AC circuits with frequencies below 45 Hz or above 62 Hz.
