Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements for materials, design, bonding, processing and assembly of bonded and filled polytetrafluoroethylene soft tape guide rails (referred to as guide rails). This standard applies to soft belt guides for metal cutting machine tools and measuring instruments. The soft belt guide rails of other machines can be used as a reference.
