Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements for materials, design, bonding, processing and assembly of bonded and filled polytetrafluoroethylene soft tape guide rails. This standard applies to soft belt guide rails for metal cutting machine tools and measuring instruments (hereinafter referred to as guide rails). The soft belt guide rails of other machines should also be used with reference.
