- This part specifies the standard baseline conditions for bench testing of marine diesel engines (hereinafter referred to as diesel engines), calibration methods for power, fuel consumption and oil consumption, as well as correction methods for power and fuel consumption under non-standard environmental conditions. This section applies to marine main diesel engines (hereinafter referred to as main engines) and auxiliary diesel engines (hereinafter referred to as auxiliary engines).
