Scope: This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation and storage of shunts for installed electric energy meters used in 50Hz or 60Hz power grids. This standard applies to shunts for electric energy meters (hereinafter referred to as products). Shunts used in other technical fields can also be used as a reference. This standard does not apply to external shunts used in electrical measuring indicating instruments.
