Scope: This standard specifies the basic parameters, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage and warranty period of low-voltage electrical appliance impulse voltage testers. This standard is applicable to impulse voltage testers with rated output impulse voltage wave peaks of 30 kV and below, for impulse voltage testing of low-voltage electrical appliances with AC 50 Hz, rated voltage 1,200 V and below, or DC rated voltage 1,500 V and below (hereinafter Referred to as impulse voltage tester).
