Scope: This standard specifies the product classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, supply methods, packaging and identification of tungsten-rhenium thermocouple wires (hereinafter referred to as “couple wires”). This standard applies to the manufacture of tungsten-rhenium 3-tungsten-rhenium 25 thermocouple wires, tungsten-rhenium 5-tungsten-rhenium 26 thermocouple wires, tungsten-rhenium 5-tungsten-rhenium 20 thermocouple wires (hereinafter referred to as D-type wires and C-type wires respectively) wire and type A even wire).
