GB/T 3916-2013 Textiles.Yarns from packages.Determination of single-end breaking force and elongation at break using constant rate of extension (CRE) tester (English Version)
1.1 This standard specifies the methods for the determination of the breaking strength and elongation at break of textile yarns taken from packages, that is, four methods are provided: --A: Manually, samples are taken directly from the package after humidity conditioning; -- B: Automatic, take the sample directly from the conditioned package; --C: Manual, use the slack test skein of the conditioned humidity; --D: Manual, use the wetted sample. 1.2 Use Method C in cases of dispute over yarn elongation at break. 1.3 This standard specifies the constant velocity extension type strength tester (CRE). In view of the fact that constant velocity traction (CRT) and constant load (CRL) type strength testers are still used, Appendix A lists the reference materials for using CRT and CRL type strength testers, which can be adopted according to the agreement. 1.4 This standard applies to all yarns except glass yarn, high elastic yarn, high molecular weight polyethylene yarn (HMPE), ultra high molecular weight polyethylene yarn (UHMPE), ceramic yarn, carbon fiber yarn and polyolefin flat yarn. 1.5 This standard applies to yarns taken from packages, but it can also be used for yarns taken from fabrics by agreement of the parties concerned. 1.6 This standard applies to the test of single yarn (single thread).
