- This standard specifies the divis on of lightning protection areas for wind profile radar stations, the protection of wind profile radar antennas, machine rooms, and cables, the selection of surge protectors, equipotential bonding and grounding, and the protection requirements for mobile wind profile radars. This standard applies to the lightning protection design and construction of new wind profile radar stations and mobile wind profile radars.
