This part of QX 10 specifies the principles for the selection and use of surge protective devices (SPDs) used in signal networks of electronic systems to protect against direct lightning strikes, lightning electromagnetic pulses and other transient or temporary overvoltages. This section applies to electronic systems where the system nominal voltage does not exceed 100OV (rms) or the DC voltage does not exceed 1500V.
